Recent studies show that studies are bad for your health.

Teenagers lie, cheat and steal.
Belly fat is bad for you.
One out of five teenagers has a mental disorder.
Telling us we’re in a recession causes the Stock Market to tank.
Your wife has issues with your mother.
And this is just today…
So, how do we find relief?
We get on Yahoo and do a search for Britney Spears.

Lie, cheat and steal: high school ethics surveyed

So, I stumbled across this article today on MSN.com.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27983915/?GT1=43001
The subject is Lie, cheat and steal: high school ethics surveyed. As I'm reading I'm thinking to myself...This is just further proof that today's parenting concepts are not working. Now, granted, I was raised with an iron fist and a not too flattering verbal approach that has left a few of it's own scars. Here it comes, BUT, good grief, "30 percent of U.S. high school students have stolen from a store and 64 percent have cheated on a test." "One-fifth said they stole something from a friend; 23 percent said they stole something from a parent or other relative."
It's not too encouraging to realize these are the people that will be taking over finance and industry in the next 10 - 20 years.
Although...considering where we are right now you gotta kinda wonder.
It appears that the Me generation (all those Baby-boomers) has turned it all into a big steaming pile of s@#t.

Crude oil prices go down...gas prices at the pump go up. (fall 2008)
Does anybody else see something wrong here?!
Do you feel like Leo Getz at the drive thru window?!

Selling Update

Make that 1.6038 dollars per Euro. Oh, and by the way, 615 billion would be the largest single amount we owe in foreign debt. (Thanks Japan)

The selling of America

So...52 billion dollars and you too can own the most recognized beer in the US. Put up a paltry 450 billion and you can own just a little less than one-fifth of the United States debt held by foreign countries. American made has been traded for Made in China by WalMart. Call American Express to ask a question about your credit card and speak with "Bob" in Mumbai. And we wonder why it takes 1.53 American dollars for 1.00 Euro.
